SS4, Petronas – After flipping through the daily headlines, it couldn’t be more reassuring that parents would provide less for their children, especially fuel. They would gradually ask us to take the bus, knowing how much we hate public transportation.
Well, everyone kept their hopes high praying that the information was inaccurate. But, the honking and pollution outside is enough to convince anyone that the country is facing a crisis. Among those that are affected are Proton and Perodua cars (including me), the rich couldn’t care less. Curious and boring me, I took my little ride for a stroll and saw what I needed to see. Believe it or not, I had so much fun.
For what’s worth, I got my full tank for 1.92 cent per litre and I realise how extreme the situation became. For some reason, I caught some people refilling their petrol tank at RM 30! Someone please shoot them down.
Omg, they queued up for a few bucks of petrol. Can you beat that! Malaysia Boleh! Hilarious I would say.
*30 minutes before I got my fuel*
After glancing the quiet road and enjoying the after rain breeze, I knew I was a genius. So I took my time, drive around and right after the next turn, I saw a train of backlights. *Devastated* sigh. I queued up like how my mom would expect her boy to do and waited for my turn. I took out a CD that I’ve just burned and enjoyed the music, while my headlights are shut and the air con is on full blast. Never would I expect the petrol hike to reach an extent far worse than the New Year’s celebration jam.
But as soon as my conscience kicks in, I decide to improvise and move to the opposite lane, (I drove on the opposite direction) and march my way around and got to the first few, like how Jackie Chan would do it.
When my turn came, it was a great feeling, knowing how other people suffered in the queue while I cut them with a snap. I pulled the hand break, got out and advance to the cute person sitting in front of the casher and took out my wallet. I overlook myself at the reflection of the credit card (*damn! I look good) and proudly announce “full tank” to the lady. She smile at me and said, sorry no credit card allowed. AHH! My hands were trembling and what worse could I have no cash in my wallet, but in the end I did. So quickly, after wiping a few drops of cold sweat, I hand over the cash. GUESS WHAT? She told me it was passed 12 and they needed to change the system! Oh my god, I was terrified.
I waited and waited…… Out of sudden, a man (sounds like a family man) complains emotionally and demand for the old price. The manager could hardly speak and gave the last few cars (me in it) the normal rate and I congratulated him - Well Done!
Without further ado, I quickly get my fuel. But there were idiots who request for a join pump, offering me RM30. But too bad, I wasn’t sure how much I needed so I declined him.
Little did I expect this to happen, let’s hope this incident doesn’t occur again, well one day is not going to change anything.
